How I work

I am a trained integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor. Working integratively means that our sessions will be shaped around you—your needs, your pace, and your goals—drawing thoughtfully from several therapeutic models rather than relying on a single approach. My intention is to understand your experiences from your perspective and explore them collaboratively, bringing attention to the emotions, themes, and relational patterns that emerge both in your life and within the therapeutic space we create together.

My role is to support and empower you to examine and gently challenge the ways you think, feel, and respond to situations. Through this process, you can begin to develop clearer insight into yourself, your relationships, and the choices available to you.

I offer a warm, approachable, and grounded presence. You can expect me to listen attentively and without judgement, providing a consistent and confidential space where you are free to talk openly about whatever feels important. I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework to ensure your safety, dignity, and wellbeing are prioritised at all times.

Sessions take place weekly, on the same day and at the same time, helping create a predictable rhythm and a sense of continuity. I offer both short-term, focused work as well as longer-term, open-ended therapy, depending on what feels most appropriate for your circumstances.

Whether you are looking for a space to reflect on current challenges, process past experiences, or better understand long-standing patterns, my approach centres on building a strong, collaborative therapeutic relationship. Together we can identify what is holding you back, deepen your self-awareness, and work towards more constructive, balanced, and sustainable ways of responding to life’s demands.

I offer sessions face-to-face online via Zoom, as well as by telephone—allowing you to access support in whichever format feels most comfortable and convenient.

“Counselling helped with offloading some of my past issues and putting them into perspective. I feel you worked hard to make me more aware of my self-worth.” - Client
